You know what’s unfair? Unfair is that my sister works two days a week and gets lots of praise – you’re so resourceful, you’re such a hard worker! – while I work five and I’m still called lazy.

Seriously though: they must think I’m made of steel. All of the praise goes in her general direction while I’m getting all the of the stupid comments seems like a good reason to feel jealous. Because I surely can tell how different we’re treated: she’s the resourceful one, the one who doesn’t need anyone to help her with anything and can always get her way, she’s the hard worker who always comes home so tired after such a filled day and I’m the one who works at a desk and needs people to solve my problems and even needs a ride to go to work when I should be walking on my feet. She’s the one who’s asked “are you going to work now?” and I’m getting the “you’re going to school now?”.

I thought I wasn’t here to please anyone, but I can’t say these comparisons aren’t affecting me.
