I woke up feeling that I should sleep for another couple of hours and then just cycle my way to work instead of getting my sister’s lift as I usually do. But glancing at the weather was more than enough to see it wouldn’t do: look at all the cold and all those clouds! It will surely rain! So I had no other option but to unwillingly get up and start my business.
Then I arrive at the city and evetything’s sunny, wonderfull, it almost looks like spring. Maybe I should have biked my way here, it would at least be mildly fun.
I can sum the entirety of Foundation and Earth‘s plot in a single image:
And it’s a Trevize. The world needs more Trevizes, I should draw more Trevizes.
I must also add that this is the best and single most awesomely funny picture I have ever made.
All caps, just to make sure you really really get the message.
Because today I have made – behold – another lasagna! But not any lasagna, my people, no, it’s a spinach lasagna!
I really like spinaches, but I hardly ever eat it. Actually, I hardly ever find it for sale, either I’m really more short-sighted than I thought or spinach is some weird, secret delicacy.
But I got my hands on some today and I couldn’t let the chance flee from me, so yeah, I made a lasagna and let me tell you – it was delicious! I’m the best, I’m best cooker ever. I could open a meth lab. There was a short comming thought: I didn’t know spinach tended to shrink that much upon cookery. So I thought I bought a lot of spinach and I would still have tons for other experiments, but I figured I should have bought at least twice as much. Maybe three times as much. There was no way near of enough lasagna. But it tasted to delightfull it was totally worth it.
My cousin and I had to leave the shopping early enough so we could be at the hospital around 18:00, so we started heading out until he saw this watches store “Oh I love watches, let’s take a look inside” and so we stared at watches for a period of time until I asked “What time is it?” and he looks at this watch and says “It’s 18:00″ and we looked at the three million watches on the store and they were ALL pointing at 18:00.
A store full of watches was not enough for us to know the time.
I rode my bike again today, for the first time in over a month. It is rather obvious then, that going up and down hills was an insanely good idea.
My lungs were in so much pain afterwards. Oh so much. Gosh, I felt almost like a smoker (I don’t know how smokers feel, actually). I was abou TO DIE – no I wasn’t, but I was pretty achy. Surely I should have refrained my foolishness, I knew I wasn’t in good shape after that month-long break.
But back on track, I rode the bike and it was extremely fun and I remember why I loved it so much and if I didn’t know better, I’d say I would start waking up extra early from now on in order to ride it.
But I know better, I know me better and I know I won’t do that.
Biking and sewing weren’t my only two activities of the day, I also managed to get some bakery done! I love cakes and I love carrot cakes the most – some of my peeps can prove it to you if you’d want, I’ll beg for carrot cake as soon as I can smell it nearby – so I decided I would just pick it from there and get a carrot cake done! What a delicious starting point for an afternoon culinary adventure.

Well, 90% of this cake is gone by now! I made some ginger tea as well, and it is delicious. Also, tomorrow is still weekend and my friends will be shooting their short film again, so I’m thinking about showing up and join the fun.
I have recently discovered – woah! – that I have the ability to create things. To enjoy my creatins. If I have the likes for it, and I have the skills to do it, what am I missing? Oh right, I need some prime materials to work with. Do I have those too? Then what’s keeping me? Why I am wasting my precisous free time waiting for my tumblr’s dashboard to change or crying my always eternal loneliness?
Truth is, there’s nothing in my way, really. If anything, it’s probably a matter of lack of will, or maybe a lack of the realiztion that I can actually do whatever the fuck I want. If I want to learn to speak a new language, I first must convince myself that I am able to do it, that I am able to learn. One has to fight the inertia. In my case, everything began when I decided to take the dust out of the house’s sewing machine.

I recently rearranged my drawers and found some clothes which were so old they weren’t even good for giving away. But I didn’t throw them away either because it’s a shame to throw stuff away, mommy says. So I left them sitting around… Until I understood that maybe I could stop reading sewing blogs and start sewing myself! There’s a machine around, right?
But there’s a problem, I had never used the house’s machine before. Actually, the last time I touched a similar machine – which wasn’t actually that similar – was around 5 years ago. But welps, if the internet has ever had a function ever, it is of having instructions for just about everything. Surely it would tell me how to operate the machine! I do have the tissue around, so let’s get started!
I did jamm the machine the very moment I turned it on and I did break a needle… But it was my first time. With a litle help from my mommy, I managed to make the first of – I hope – many creations! A hat! What an imperfect beauty, light of my days and nights! I do not have the guts to wear you out of the house, but I do love you very much!
My first day wasn’t over yet and I was already trying to make a pair of gloves. I was obviously unsuccessfull. Turns out, I was told a few days after, gloves are a tough thing and surely not stuff for begginer’s like me. That didn’t stop me from trying to do other pairs tho…
Today I had free time, so to the sewing machine I went! Using a technique very similar to the one I used to create the hat, I made a beannie. I think I am getting better and more used to the machinery, although the results are still far from perfect. I still lose the wire a fucking lot, but at least I am not breakint any more needles nor jamming the machine. And this is a very fun exercise, even if it makes my back hurt to the moon and back. And my creations are getting closer and closer to the mighty standard of “I could wear this outside and feel proud of if”. I’m really proud of my beanie tho!

And then I tried to make some matching gloves, but there’s no point in telling you how much of a failure tha was, again.
I haven’t written anything of importance here lately, but fear not, it’s not like I stopped having special snowflake thoughts or anything of the likes. It’s not like I’m even busy, I just forget to write about the current stuffs.
There are some things happening though, or have happened recently:
